PARALYZED PATIENT WALKS AGAIN

The patient went mountain biking and had an accident, sustaining a fracture of the cervical spine with spinal cord injury.

He completely lost movement on the upper and lower limbs and remained paralyzed. We immediately operated on the patient, who underwent cervical decompression and spinal fusion with screws placed in the lateral masses. Immediately after surgery, the patient began to move his hands and walked within two months, without any assistance.
